Provence by Bike

Health conscious CEO wanted to do sports, socialize and get closer to his new Nordic management team of ten.

Good bikes, charming hotel with conference facilities, fabulous settings and views, good food topped with some culture and history. A proposal that fits most.

The hills of Alpilles in Provence are at their best in May and October. Cycling, culture, food, wine and history along tiny country roads, lavender fields and mountain passes. It was easy to convince one of our favourite guests to bring his management team for a tour.

Easy access from anywhere to Nice.  A chartered bus to the middle of Provence. A quick change of vehicle to bikes. Two hours warm-up ride to the first hotel for a welcome dinner and a good night’s sleep. Morning swim in the pool and breakfast. Cycling past monasteries, castles and old villages. Working session at the hotel in the Roman town of Arles.

Refreshing little drink at the square before wild boar for dinner.

A brilliant new day with clear blue sky. Cycling to a selected castle for olive oil and wine tasting before the little uphill ride to Beau-de-Provence. Lunch at the sunny terrace and some downhill cycling before the working session at a very special romantic hotel in St. Remy. Dinner at the very typical local restaurant ‘Jardin de Frederic’. Departure at dawn, smiling, with stiff muscles and rounded stomachs.
